As a history major in Mount St. Mary’s University’s accelerated undergraduate program for working adults, you will study cultures and events that span time periods from the ancient Romans and Greeks through the modern day. You’ll learn superb research and communication skills enabling you to pursue career opportunities in a wide range of fields, from politics to journalism or education to public service. Upon graduation, you’ll be able to seek a career as a librarian or archivist for a university, paralegal with a law firm, or pursue a law or other graduate degree.
As a student in the Mount’s accelerated undergraduate history program you will:
- Attend convenient classes. Classes meet one night per week (6-10 p.m.). Our Frederick campus is minutes from I-70 and I-270, near the FSK Mall.
- Finish at your own pace. Courses are offered year round in accelerated 5- and 8-week sessions. Take the courses you need at your convenience.
- Receive specialized support for accelerated students. One-on-one advising and a customized degree plan are available and encouraged for all students.
This program is available to be completed remotely via web conferencing.
