Part-Time MHA Degree for Working Adults

The Mount’s Master of Health Administration (MHA) is offered part-time and on campus, allowing you to balance work and graduate school.

Our program is best suited for mid-career professionals currently working in the healthcare field. However, professionals at all stages in their careers, from new entrants to the profession to practicing physicians, have found academic and career success. As a student in the program you will:

  • Finish in only 2 years. Twelve courses are offered in 8-week sessions, allowing you to focus on one class at a time.
  • Attend convenient classes. Meet weekly on Monday nights (6-9:30 p.m.). Our Frederick campus is minutes from I-70 and I-270, near the FSK Mall.
  • Receive support from classmates and faculty. Up to 24 students begin and end the program together, allowing you to connect with classmates.

At the completion of the program you will also be a certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.

  • Cost is based on 36 credits (12 classes) at $635 per credit
  • Students may transfer in up to 9 credits
  • Based on undergraduate transcript analysis, prerequisite courses may be required for an additional cost

Students may seek financial assistance through federal and state funded programs, private loan providers, employer tuition remission or reimbursement, or deferment of undergraduate loans.

Admissions Requirements

The MHA is designed for individuals who completed a bachelor’s degree in any field from an accredited four-year institution.

Additionally, students must demonstrate one of the following:

  • Undergraduate GPA of 2.75 or higher or
  • Two full years of relevant work experience or
  • 500 minimum score on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
